Summary

| Duration: 12 Months+ | Hours: Monday to Friday |

We are seeking an experienced Site Chargehand to lead a 3-person construction gang for a long-term infrastructure project in the South Gloucestershire area. The role involves supervising works related to the development of new cycle paths.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience leading civil/site works teams

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Ability to supply a 3.5-tonne tipper vehicle

  • Competent using small tools and light plant (breaker, disc cutter, compactor)

  • Experience with Cat & Genny equipment (calibration certs required)

  • Strong organisational and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily cycle path construction tasks

  • Coordinate team duties and manage site logistics

  • Ensure safe operation and tool maintenance

  • Liaise with site managers and local authority contacts
