Summary
Playworker – Breakfast & After School Club (Term-Time Only)
Location: Fairfield Infants School, Felixstowe, IP11 9JB
Hours: 22 hours per week (mornings and afternoons, Monday–Friday)
Are you passionate about working with children? Just finished your childcare qualification and ready to gain hands-on experience? Join our friendly team as a Wraparound Care Assistant/Playworker and help deliver fun, safe, and engaging activities in our Breakfast & After School Clubs.
What You’ll Do:
• Lead and support creative play and learning activities for children aged 4–11
• Create a welcoming, inclusive environment before and after school
• Safely escort children and communicate clearly with parents/carers
• Serve snacks and maintain a high standard of hygiene and safety
• Work as part of a supportive team, following all safeguarding procedures
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
• Minimum age: 18 (due to insurance and Ofsted regulations)
• Experience working with children aged 4–11 in schools, nurseries, or similar play-based settings
• Confidence supporting play in a fun, structure
• Great communication and teamwork skills
Desirable (but not essential):
• A childcare qualification (or working towards one)
• Safeguarding or First Aid training
• Food Hygiene certificate
• A full UK driving licence
