Summary
The Role
The Director of Strategy is a pivotal SCS2 leadership role at the heart of the Home Office. This role leads a multi-disciplinary directorate responsible for shaping and delivering the Department’s strategic direction, solving complex crosscutting challenges, and supporting Ministers and senior leaders.
You will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and work closely with the Home Secretary, Permanent Secretary, the Executive Committee and senior stakeholders across government. The Directorate brings together strategy, policy, delivery, sponsorship, private office and parliamentary affairs functions, and plays a central role in aligning departmental priorities with long-term goals. You will also play a key role in designing and pushing forward the transformation of the Department on behalf of the Permanent Secretary.Proud member of the Disability Confident employer scheme
