Your new role
Hays Education are currently recruiting for SEN Teaching Assistants to start in September. You will be working in either KS1 or KS2, supporting children with specific needs on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis. You will be required to follow lesson/EHCP plans, encourage and support the child/ren, provide feedback on their progress and be a role model to the child/ren.
What you'll need to succeed
You MUST have experience working with children with additional needs. SEN Teaching Assistants are in high demand, therefore it is imperative that you can go to a school and hit the ground running. You will need to be patient, passionate about the learning and development of each child, have a thorough understanding of the individual's needs and be confident in your approach, i.e. firm but fair if supporting children with challenging behaviours, empathetic and respectful.
