About the Role
To provide support to the Leader and Chairman of the County Council, including managing the diary and appointments of the Leader of the County Council.
To provide a full, confidential Secretarial/Personal Assistant support service to the Cabinet, providing administrative support within the Civic and Member Support section.
Assisting the section with the discharge of support services to County Councillors.
Managing the bookings of the Council Chamber, Committee Suite and Members’ Lounge and prioritising where necessary
About You
To apply for this post, you must:
- Qualified to NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration or an equivalent level of experience
- Experience in providing a range of administrative support to managers
- Experience in establishing and maintaining administration procedures
- Sound working knowledge of the MS Office suite of software or proficiency
- Able to demonstrate an understanding of the role of the Leader and Chairman of the County Council
- Able to demonstrate an understanding of the role of Elected Members
- Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
You must also have an understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion.
