Do you excel in fast-paced environments, keeping things running smoothly when the pressure is on? Are you the kind of person who thrives on juggling multiple priorities while ensuring nothing slips through the cracks? If so, Somerton Town Council has the perfect role for you.
As an Administration Officer, you'll be at the heart of our operations, supporting the Town Clerk’s team and Councillors. No two days are the same in this role! You will be involved in everything from managing bookings for Edgar Hall and being responsible for its cleaning schedule to coordinating committee meetings and diarising groundsmen to undertake repairs for our assets. You will be responsible for ensuring adequate office stationery supplies and equipment servicing and be the first point of contact for residents and other staff. Your ability to bring structure and order will be invaluable.
Why This Role is Made for You:
You have strong experience working in busy office environments and understand the importance of responsive customer service. You appreciate that there may be unplanned changes or events and are able to act accordingly, always ensuring that the Council can deliver its services effectively.
✔ You’re proactive and detail-focused, handling multiple tasks while maintaining high attention to detail.
✔ You shine in high-pressure situations, keeping cool and ensuring everything runs seamlessly.
✔ You’re confident in working with the public, providing excellent support while upholding professionalism.
✔ You embrace technology, using digital tools to streamline processes and support the Council’s objectives.
