Hanover Scotland are excited to be recruiting for a Relief Care Worker to join our dedicated team of Relief Care Workers. In this rewarding role, you’ll provide high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their wellbeing and dignity are always at the heart of what you do. You’ll work flexible hours as part of a supportive team, delivering services that are safe, respectful, and person-centred.
What You’ll Do:
• Deliver care in line with SSSC codes and Health & Social Care Standards
• Build positive relationships with residents and their families
• Support care planning to help residents achieve their goals to live independently
• Keep accurate records, both written and digital
• Complete all required training and eLearning

About You
Are you passionate about person-centred care and making a real difference in people’s lives? We’re looking for dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our Relief Care Worker team.
Our Very Sheltered Services (check if this should be Care at Home) are Development-based and provide enhanced provision to support adults with varying needs including physically disabled, learning disabilities, older adults and vulnerable adults in their own homes to live as independently as they are able with a responsive service adapting to their housing support plans.
What We’re Looking For:
• Ability to register as a Care Worker with the SSSC within 6 months
• Strong communication and ability to work well within a team
• Basic literacy, numeracy, and IT skills
• Physically fit for moving and handling tasks
• Flexible to work early/late shifts year-round
• Willingness to travel for training or to provide essential cover
• Experience working within a care setting
Desirable Extras:
• SVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care
• REHIS elementary level
• Medication units in SVQ
