YOUR ROLE



Are you an experienced logistics professional looking for your next challenge? We’re on the lookout for a proactive and detail-oriented Freight Supervisor to join our team in Aberdeen!

As a Freight Supervisor you will lead a high-performing team to meet and exceed service and compliance standards. You will ensure daily operations run smoothly and contribute to strategic growth.



This role will see you working Monday to Friday – 40 hrs per week with flexible start time.



WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?



Reporting into the Operations Manager, you will take a hands-on leadership role in guiding and supporting the multimodal freight operations team to deliver exceptional service and operational excellence. You will be responsible for ensuring all documentation, invoicing, and data quality are completed accurately and in line with departmental KPIs, customer expectations, and compliance standards.

In this dynamic and fast-paced environment, you will oversee daily team performance, drive a culture of continuous improvement, and foster strong working relationships with both internal stakeholders and external partners, including freight carriers and CEVA’s international offices. A key focus will be maintaining high levels of client satisfaction through proactive problem-solving and timely, efficient responses to any issues or enquiries.



Your responsibilities will also include resource planning, training and development, invoice auditing and approvals, and ensuring full adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies.



Due to the nature of this role, successful candidates will be required to complete extensive Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks covering the past five years.



WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?



Our ideal candidate will bring proven experience in a multimodal logistics operation and will already be thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will have a solid background in leading or supporting a team and a strong understanding of operational demands across various freight modes.

You will be highly organised, with exceptional time management skills and the ability to effectively prioritise your workload while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. A confident and clear communicator, you will have the ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally, backed by excellent customer service skills. With a logical mindset and a natural problem-solving approach, you will be someone who takes initiative and works well under pressure.

You will be IT literate, comfortable using Microsoft programs such as Excel and Word. Experience with CargoWise is desirable but not essential.
