Summary


Are you an experienced Paediatric OccupationalTherapist who is passionate about children with complex needs? Are you looking to work as part of a supportive team in a flexible working environment whilst earning HCAS?We have a new and exciting opportunity for a band7OccupationalTherapist to join our team based at St MarksHospitalin Maidenhead.


Within this post you will have the opportunity to work as part of an experienced team of therapists in a mix of community settings, early years settings, homesand schoolshaving independence and autonomy to manage your own caseload.You will be expected to deliver a high standard of occupationaltherapy care to children and young people withdevelopmental andcomplex needs,thereforefor this role we are looking forsomeonewith a realpassionfor seeing young children reach their potential.You will beexpected to lead on a specific clinical area of Occupational Therapy,e.g.DCD, enablingthe team to further their knowledge,enthusiasmandevidence-based practice tothe team.


Our core workinghours are Monday to Friday 9:00 – 17:00 but we can offer flexibility around this. The role will involve some travel but also leaves room for some home working.Permanentfull-timeposition available, part-timeoptions considered.




• Provide high quality assessment and interventions for children and young people with developmental / complex needs

• Function as a specialist autonomous clinician, supporting delivery of the CYPIT model and providingsupport to more junior staff

• Contribute to defined projects and service development initiatives as requested

• Maintainaccurateand contemporaneous clinical records and provide written therapy plans and reports including contribution to the EHCP Assessment process and tribunals asrequired

• Use the Care Aims care planning approach, impact-based clinical decision making, and associated outcome measures

• Provide specialist clinical care including assessment,diagnosisand interventions, fora paediatriccaseload

The “must haves” for this role:

1. Be a qualifiedOccupational Therapist, withRCOT and HCPC registrations

1. Haveexperience in assessing and treating0-18year oldswith developmental and complex needs presentations

1. Hold a full UK driving license, with access to using a vehicle for work purposes
