Summary

Want to gain qualifications whilst earning money by working in a successful Repairs team? We’ve got the apprenticeship for you!

As an apprentice you will assist the repairs team with repairing and maintaining our customers’ homes, communal spaces and garages.

You will work alongside qualified carpenters, learning on the job and completing work to a high standard and in-line with best practice. Think hanging doors, fitting kitchen units and worktops, building studwork and installing fixtures whilst maintaining the upkeep of your stock and tools.

You will work with one of our fully qualified carpenters four days a week on site, and one day attending college in Weston.

Working with Weston College, at the end of your two-year apprenticeship you will gain a Level 2 in Site Carpentry.

This position is ideal for someone who has already completed a L1 in carpentry or a GCSE/L2 course related to construction and who hopes to become a fully qualified carpenter themselves one day.

About you:

With an appetite to learn a new skill, you will be eager to learn, with the enthusiasm to complete your apprenticeship.

With a can-do attitude, you will have great customer service skills and can communicate on the phone and face-to-face.

Weston College needs you to have a minimum of GCSE (Grade A*-C or 5-9) in English and Maths, but support is offered to candidates who have do not have these.

You will need to work at any location from where we operate, this includes North Somerset and Bristol. You do not need a driving licence as you will be working with a current colleague but will need to be able to get to Weston College by your own transport.
