Summary

Job Title: Hotel Events Coordinator

Location: St Ives, Cornwall

Salary: £12.81 per hour

Contract: Full-time, 40 hours per week (including evenings and weekends)



We are currently seeking an experienced Hotel Events Coordinator to join our client's team in St Ives. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating memorable events, particularly weddings and hotel functions.

Responsibilities:

- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of events, including weddings, conferences, meetings, and other functions

- Work closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences, and ensure all requirements are met

- Manage event logistics, including room bookings, setup, catering, audiovisual equipment, and guest accommodations

- Collaborate with various departments within the hotel to ensure seamless event execution

- Provide excellent customer service to clients and guests throughout the event planning process and onsite during events

- Anticipate and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during events to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction



Requirements:

- Proven experience as an Events Coordinator, preferably within a hotel setting

- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, vendors, and team members

- Knowledge of event planning best practices and industry trends

- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required

- A proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving

- Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
