Summary
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Event Set & Prop Builder to support the creation, maintenance, and transformation ror our events. Working closely with the creative and production teams, this role is hands-on and dynamic, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, artistic, and practical setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Set Construction: Build, assemble, and install scenic elements for events including Shocktober Fest, Escape Rooms, Pumpkin Festival, and the Tulip Fields.
• Prop Building: Design and fabricate themed props and interactive features.
• Painting & Finishing: Paint scenic elements, apply textures, and finish props and sets to high visual standards.
• Event Maintenance: Carry out ongoing repairs, touch-ups, and safety checks on sets and props throughout each event season.
• Event Build Support: Assist in the general event setup, including rigging, lighting placement, signage, and layout execution.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with designers, artists, and technical staff to bring creative visions to life.
Skills & Experience Required:
• Experience in set building, carpentry, prop making, or scenic art.
• Competent with power tools, hand tools, and basic construction techniques
• Creative, resourceful, and able to problem-solve under pressure
• Able to work to deadlines and adapt to changing requirements
• Willingness to work outdoors and in varied conditions
• Positive attitude and team-player mindset
• Full UK driving licence desirable
