Summary

One to One Study Skills Tutor ASC

£28 per hour + £3.38 accrued holiday pay

Introduction

Randstad Student Support is actively seeking a highly qualified One to One Study Skills Tutor ASC to work part-time with students exhibiting Specific Learning Difficulties (SPLDs) and Autism. This is a crucial role requiring immediate availability, and the hiring process will move quickly. We encourage qualified and immediately available candidates to apply now!

As part of the eligibility criteria for this role, we require candidates to have completed the relevant National Autistic Society (NAS) training modules.

If you have not yet completed these modules, don't worry - we are happy to support you in obtaining them. You will be provided with direct access to the required training materials. The training costs approximately £180 (One time Payment), and successful completion is necessary prior to commencing the role.

Upon completion, you will receive a certificate from the National Autistic Society, which can serve as a valuable addition to your professional profile. This certification is widely recognised and can strengthen your CV when applying for roles that support individuals with Autism, ADHD, and other neurodiverse conditions.

Responsibility

What will you be responsible for:
  • Developing and implementing individualized learning plans.
    * Guiding students in effective time management.
    * Assessing student progress and adapting plans as needed.
    * Collaborating with university staff.
    * Utilizing online teaching technologies.
Specifically the activities will be:

Creating personalized learning plans and providing tailored academic support to students with SPLDs and Autism.

Experience

What requirements are we looking for?
  • Proven teaching experience with SPLDs.
    * Relevant teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
    * Experience supporting autistic students.
