Summary

Maths Teacher needed for an SEMH School

TLTP are looking for a qualified Maths teacher to work full-time at an SEMH School.

The ideal candidate would have experience of working with primary and secondary pupils with social emotional and mental health needs.

The setting is a specialist school based in Brent, London. This is a specialist school that teaches pupils who find it difficult to regulate their emotions, social skills and mental health challenges and are unable to attend their mainstream school due to their behavioural challenges.

Many of the pupils have emotional and mental health needs. The main differences are:

• Reduced curriculum offer- the provision delivers core subjects
• Class sizes max 8-10 with some additional TA support in classes.
• Therapeutic and nurturing environment and approaches to support access to the curriculum.
• There is no specialist knowledge about Mental Health needed the pupils just want good teaching in class so they can get their GCSEs and move forward

The provision are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and compassionate Maths teacher to come on board and join their hard working team.

Required skills:

You will need to have QTS or QTLS
You will be required to be committed to the development of both yourself and the pupils in your class.
You must be able to deliver outstanding teaching and learning alongside a multi-disciplinary classroom team
You must understand and be committed to safeguarding children
