Job Description

An opportunity has arisen within Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability for a Training Coordinator to join our Training Team on a permanent basis. NRS brings together a diverse range of Glasgow City Council operational, technical and development services that focus on sustainable transport, place making and delivering essential city services. If you’re interested in working within a service that touches on all aspects within the city, please read on. Position Details The Coordinator role involves assisting in the training function within Glasgow City Council, through the coordination of our training facility, including premise management functions and responsibilities. The successful candidate will also be involved with the design, development, delivery and evaluation of a range of training courses; and will assist with training needs across the Service. An HNC level qualification in Waste Management/Environment/Sustainability or Land Based, or equivalent; along with an appropriate verifier/assessor award in area of operation; and a current driving licence are essential requirements for this role. Holding an appropriate HND, or equivalent, qualification in an industry specific area; a First Aid Certification; NEBOSH Certificate; an IOSH managing safely award; and front-line management experience are desirable. Contract Details Weekly Hours: 35 per week Work Pattern: Monday – Friday Annual Salary: £42,226.19 - £49,186.00 on an incremental scale Additional Payments: In addition to the annual salary the role attracts a working context & demand (WCD) payment of £1,127 per year.
