New Leaf School is seeking to recruit a skilled and enthusiastic

Family Support Worker

(Safeguarding and Attendance Responsibilities)

Grade 7 (SCP 22 - 27)

35 Hours per week, Term Time Only

New Leaf School is a Key Stage 1, 2 and 3 Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) serving the whole borough of Walsall. All pupils attend New Leaf following permanent exclusion from a mainstream school; many pupils might have a range of needs including social and emotional difficulties which can often impact upon their learning. Consequently, the ability to engage with challenging and vulnerable learners is an essential part of this job. Our mission is to ensure that each young person leaves New Leaf on the correct pathway to be able to fulfil their best educational outcomes and life chances.

New Leaf School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.

Suitability checks will be undertaken for any successful candidate in accordance with Keeping Children Safe in Education (2024) including identity, Right To Work, qualifications, prohibition check, two references and DBS check (enhanced).
