We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our Oncology & Haematology Ambulatory Cancer Care Unit, where people with a cancer diagnosis receive treatment in a supportive, respectful, and person-centered environment. We have 8 premises, where we perform highly complex procedures as well as routine surgery & medicine. Our main hospital spans 8 floors comprising of 234 beds and 10 theatres, and The Duchess of Devonshire Wing is our award-winning cancer centre, which includes state-of-the-art radiotherapy, chemotherapy suites and 47 dedicated patient bedrooms for Oncology & Haematology patients Job Profile Experience in oncology is beneficial but is not essential. As a Staff Nurse in our Ambulatory Cancer Care Unit, you'll play a key role in assessing patients and delivering safe, compassionate, and effective care to patients receiving the very latest systemic anti-cancer therapies (SACT) and supportive treatments. You will be an integral member of the multidisciplinary cancer care team, working in conjunction with our consultants, pharmacists, clinical nurse specialists, and allied health professionals who collaborative efficiently to optimise clinical outcomes and the quality of life of those living with and affected by cancer. This role is ideal for a nurse who is passionate about cancer care and keen to develop the knowledge and skills to specialise in SACT delivery. You will be fully supported by our Clinical Practice Educator in Cancer Care with a comprehensive induction and structured training pathway to develop the fundamental skills and knowledge required for cancer nursing. You will receive training to become a competent intravenous therapy and chemotherapy nurse, and will be rewarded with ongoing opportunities for career progression upon successful attainment of your IV and Chemotherapy Passports. Job Type: This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week. Hours: No night or weekend shifts, just four long days (Monday to Friday, 8:30am-6:00pm), offering excellent work-life balance. Salary: £37,000 to £43,000 per annum Location: Duchess of Devonshire Wing. 22 Devonshire Place, London, W1G 6JA Benefits package: Contributory pension scheme (total annual contribution up to 20%).
