Summary
These posts are offered on a full time (10 PA) basis, although less than full time applications will be considered. Duties will be based primarily on our Dewsbury site although all our medical staff are involved in delivering care to patients on all our sites. The main duties of the post will include Histopathology surgical specimen cut up and reporting. Non-gynaecological cytology reporting (no gynaecological cytology is undertaken). Joint lead in one or more multi-disciplinary specialties (MDTs supported include Breast, Upper and Lower Gastrointestinal, Skin, Gynae, Urology, Head & Neck, Colposcopy, Cancer of Unknown Primary, and Lung). Option to join the 8-member rota for autopsy provision for HM Coroner (West Yorkshire Eastern District). Administrative duties, for which appropriate office space and secretarial support is provided. Supporting Professional Activities in accordance with the Trust Framework, with a minimum of 1.5 SPAs included. Additional SPA or DCC time may be commissioned in line with the skills of the successful candidate and changing requirements of the service. No on-call commitments. The appointment will be on the basis of the new consultant contract laid down by the Hospital Medical and Dental Staff Terms and Conditions of Service and will be remunerated as appropriate on the salary scale £105,504 - £139,882 per annum.
