Summary
Kitchen Porter
My client a local residential home in Liskeard is seeking a Kitchen Porter on a temp to perm basis.
You will need an in-date Enhanced DBS, the care home can assist with this.
The role:
• Maintaining a clean kitchen, including cleaning catering equipment, work surface, floor cleaning, dishwasher, and pot wash duties.
• Be aware and mindful of following all food hygiene procedures.
• Assisting the cook where needed, this will include light food prep
• Completing a light tea option for residents such as heating soups, making of sandwiches etc.
• Serving tea on trays to residents within their bedroom, collecting trays and crockery at the end of tea service
• Ensuring all cleaning and kitchen porter duties are consistently completed in accordance with schedules.
• The perfect candidate can work under pressure and think on their feet.
• Can provide multitasking and excellent communication skills.
You must:
• Deliver high standards of Customer Service
• Have a good understanding of current infection control regulations and ensure that these are applied
Days & Hours:
• Monday to Sunday following a 2-weekly rota
• Full and part time roles available
• Shift times 9am- 2pm and 2pm- 7.30pm
Rate:
• £12.52ph
We pay weekly, every Friday plus holiday.
