Food Technology Teacher – Temp to Perm

Exeter | Paid to scale (MPS/UPS) | September Start | Full-time

Are you a passionate Food Technology Teacher looking for a long-term opportunity with the potential to go permanent?

We’re working with a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in Exeter that is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Food Technology Teacher to join their team from September. This is a temp-to-perm role, offering a clear pathway to a permanent contract for the right candidate.

You'll be teaching KS3 and KS4 Food Technology, helping students develop vital life skills through creative, hands-on learning. Whether you're experienced or an ECT, you'll be supported by a strong department and a leadership team that values practical, engaging teaching.

What we’re looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism or experience in Food Technology


  • Experience teaching Key Stage 3 and 4 (including GCSEs)


  • A confident, enthusiastic teacher who thrives in a practical subject environment


  • Strong behaviour management and a commitment to inclusive teaching


  • A genuine interest in securing a long-term, permanent position
