We are looking for a Building Surveyor to manage a variety of reactive maintenance and improvement projects through contractors, up to the value of £50k.
The Opportunity:
The ideal candidate will have a Building Surveying background, and be effective at managing multiple live projects, with a high standard of contract administration, contractor management, communication, customer care, with a proactive one team approach.
The successful candidate will join an existing small team focused on the city centre estate, with travel to the other campus locations on occasion. The candidate will be expected to work a 35-hour work week.
Your skills and attributes for success:
Well organised, proactive, self-motivated, good communication and IT skills.
As a technical expert manage reactive maintenance services through Measured Term Contracts and other specialist service providers.
Carry out pre and post inspections/surveys of work to ensure appropriate planning and coordination of work.
Liaise with clients to assess and specify their service needs and ensure expectations are managed.
Good planning and communication skills to minimise disruption to clients, and meet changing demands and client requirements.
