We're working with a leading youth-focused organisation to recruit a Service Manager for a multi-site supported accommodation service in Havering. This role is ideal for someone with experience managing teams in semi-independent settings and a strong understanding of safeguarding, compliance, and performance management.

About the Service

This high-impact role oversees three dispersed supported housing sites in Romford and Harold Wood, providing accommodation and trauma-informed support to 27 young people, including those with complex needs and experiences of homelessness. Services run evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, and the Service Manager must maintain visibility and engagement across all sites.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and line manage a team, including two Deputy Service Managers, support staff, and night workers.
  • Oversee service delivery to ensure young people receive high-quality, PIE-focused, trauma-informed support.
  • Manage referrals and maintain strong commissioning relationships.
  • Monitor performance, reporting, and KPIs to ensure service excellence.
  • Ensure full compliance with Ofsted's Supported Accommodation Regulations and safeguarding protocols.
  • Build strong local partnerships and act as a key liaison with social services and external stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous service improvement and staff development.

Who We're Looking For

You'll be a confident, compassionate leader with:

  • Significant experience supporting vulnerable young people, including those with complex behaviours.
  • In-depth knowledge of Ofsted regulations and supported accommodation compliance.
  • A proven track record in safeguarding, housing management, and service quality assurance.
  • Strong people management skills and the ability to challenge and inspire teams.
  • The capability to build effective, collaborative stakeholder relationships.

This is your chance to lead a passionate team making a real difference in the lives of young people striving for independence.
