We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Merthyr Tydfil to assist with the appointment of a Care Worker to work in a residential care setting.
We have both regular shifts and bank shifts available. Please note that we don't offer sponsorship, and the worker should be able to work full time without restrictions. We would need 5 years work references checked out before you start the shifts.
Rate of Pay: £13.26 - £16.84 per hour
Summary:
The Social Care Worker will provide personal care, emotional, and practical support to individuals with assessed care and support needs within a Registered Care Home environment. The role aims to uphold the dignity, rights, independence, and wellbeing of residents in a safe, supportive, and homely atmosphere, while ensuring compliance with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality personal care and support in line with individual personal plans.
Promote independence in all aspects of daily living, including personal hygiene, dressing, mobility, and medication.
Undertake domestic duties, support the upkeep of the care home environment, and ensure health and safety standards are met.
Ensure compliance with the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 2016 and internal policies.
Support individuals to access community resources and attend appointments.
Qualifications:
Completion of 10-hour online Welsh Work course.
QCF Level 2 in Care or equivalent qualification recognised by Social Care Wales.
Essentials:
Willingness to register with Social Care Wales and maintain professional development.
Willingness to undertake QCF Level 2 in Care (if not already held).
Welsh Language Level 2 to 5.
Full driving licence (willing to drive minibus for activities).
Minimum 1 year of experience in a social care role within a registered setting
Please note:
You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
You should have right to work in U.K
This role requires an Enhanced DBS
