Summary

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Merthyr Tydfil to assist with the appointment of a Domestic Assistant to work in a residential care setting.

We have both regular shifts and bank shifts available. Please note that we don't offer sponsorship, and the worker should be able to work full time without restrictions. We would need 5 years work references checked out before you start the shifts.

Rate of Pay: £13.26 - £16.84 per hour

Summary:

The Domestic Assistant plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment within care home or council-run settings. The Domestic Assistant contributes to the comfort and dignity of individuals by supporting a pleasant, homely atmosphere.

Responsibilities:

Carry out daily cleaning duties in allocated areas such as bedrooms, bathrooms, communal lounges, kitchens, and corridors.
Ensure safe disposal of waste and adhere to infection control procedures, particularly in care home environments.
Replenish hygiene supplies such as soap, paper towels, toilet rolls, and cleaning stock.
Undertake training relevant to the role, including COSHH, infection control, and fire safety.
Ensure confidentiality and respect for the dignity and privacy of residents and service users.
Qualifications:

NVQ Level 1 or 2 in Cleaning or Support Services (or equivalent).
COSHH awareness or basic health and safety certification.
Essentials:

Willingness to undertake job-related training.
Experience working in a care home, hospital, school, or similar environment.
Previous experience in a cleaning, domestic, or support services role.
Please note:

You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
You should have right to work in U.K
This role requires an Enhanced DBS
