Crynodeb

Meadow Farm Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share in this commitment. The successful candidate will therefore require an enhanced DBS clearance.
“Before applying for this post, please refer to our school website https://www.meadowfarmschool.co.uk/policies-and-documents/ and view our child protection / safeguarding policy”.
“This post is exempt from the provisions of the 1974 Rehabilitations of Offenders Act. It is an offence to apply for the role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activities relevant to children”.
The governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and caring individual to join our midday team. Patience, empathy and a good sense of humour are a must!
The role will involve working closely with our children to improve their enjoyment of lunchtime through the organising and delivering of play activities outdoors, setting up and clearing the dining hall and supervising pupils eating lunches.

The main duties and responsibilities include:
• The supervision of children throughout the lunch break to enhance the development of children's learning and deal with any issues that occur.
• Promoting good behaviour and social and emotional development of pupils including organising the children to line up for dinners, assisting them in the dining room, helping them to play with other children. All while resolving any conflicts that may arise.
• Promoting outdoor, active play by leading and engaging with games during the lunch period.
• Helping to set up the dinner hall in time for lunch service, cleaning and clearing the hall after service, including putting the tables away.
• The successful candidate should care about the health and well-being of children and enjoy interacting with them. You will be flexible and able to work as part of a team.

You can visit our website for more information about our school and contact the school office for a telephone appointment with the Headteacher, should you have any further questions.
