Summary
Job Title: Groundworkers (Substation Civils) x 4
Location: Norwich
Contract Type: Contract - CIS
Contract Length: 3 month rolling
Our client is currently recruiting 4 x Groundworkers for a live substation construction site. The role involves a range of civil works including trenching, ducting, concreting, and general groundwork tasks to support the build of high-voltage infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out excavation, ducting, and trenching for electrical and drainage installations
- Concrete works including bases, formwork, and finishing
- Install kerbs, edging, fencing, and other associated works
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with project drawings and specifications
- Work safely around live utilities and comply with site-specific safety procedures
- Support plant operators and other trades as needed on site
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must Hold National Grid Persons
- Proven experience in groundworks, preferably on substation, utility, or infrastructure projects
- Good understanding of construction drawings and civil standards
- Must have own PPE
- Manual handling or other site safety certifications
