Can you confidently complete comprehensive tasks whilst providing an efficient and effective service to support customers across a range of channels? If so, then this role is for you.

Colchester City Council are seeking a Contact and Support Advisor to work within our Housing team providing a service for residents, visitors and businesses across a range of channels for both Colchester Borough Homes (CBH) and Colchester City Council (CCC).

Duties of the role

The successful candidate will be able to follow policies and procedures whilst simultaneously providing a high level of customer service within an extremely fast paced and busy call centre environment. The candidate will have a keen sense of accuracy and adept at using a wide range of systems in order to be as effective as possible when handling enquiries.

The role also requires the candidate to provide a face-to-face service at our Greenstead Local Housing Office which is scheduled and shared amongst the team.

Qualifications and skills required

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have extensive experience of working in a call centre or a fast-paced customer service role. IT skills such as Microsoft Office 365 applications would be beneficial. We expect you to have A Levels or equivalent experience.
