We have excellent opportunities for Trust Grade Doctors( FY2 equivalent) to join our Emergency Medicine Departments
We welcome applicants who are UK based as well those from overseas
Our hospitals are located in London and are 20 minutes train journey from central London. Our hospitals are located in vibrant areas of London with excellent schools, shopping and leisure activities on offer locally. We are also 2 hours by train from Paris!

Trust Basic Grade/ FY2 Equivalent - Emergency Medicine
• To take part in the care of patients attending the Accident & Emergency Department, including examination, investigation, diagnosis and treatment.
• To take part in the initial emergency management, including the initiation of resuscitative measures, of seriously ill medical, surgical and trauma patients.
• To liaise with staff of other departments.
• To ensure patients are discharged appropriately, including referral back to General Practitioners, social services or outpatients.
• To maintain legible records.
• To assist in the audit of various aspects of A&E work under the direction of the Audit lead.
• Perform related duties as required, including additional duties arising exceptionally from occasional emergencies and unforeseen circumstances, and duties essential for the continuity of patient care.

We operate from two main sites – KGH in Goodmayes and Queen’s Hospital in Romford. We have two busy emergency departments with more than 330,000 people visiting them last year. We’re campaigning to secure the £35m we need totransform the A&E at Queen’sand get rid of corridor care.

Our patients are benefitting from ourWomen’s Health Hubin Ilford; anAgeing Well Centrein Hornchurch; and Community Diagnostic Centres (CDC) atBarking Community Hospitaland atSt George’s Health and Wellbeing Hubin Hornchurch.

These CDCs are open 12 hours a day, 7 days a week and are providing an extra 88,000 scans a year.

The majority of our 8,000 staff – who come from 146 different countries - live in the three diverse London boroughs we serve and are from black, Asian and minority ethnic groups. Many canwork flexiblyand more than 400 of them are on our Ofsted accreditedapprenticeship programmes. We’re proud to be aLondon Living Wageemployer.
