Salary: £13.50 – £14.50 per hour (depending on experience)
Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Shifts: Mixed (Days/Nights)
Start Date: Summer 2025 – Brand-New Specialist Service Launch
Are you an experienced Senior Support Worker passionate about delivering person-centred care for individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs? We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established care provider launching a brand-new specialist service in Beccles, Suffolk.
As a Senior Support Worker, you’ll play a key role in guiding a dedicated care team, facilitating the daily needs of residents, and promoting a high standard of care through coaching, supervision, and care planning. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a positive and inclusive environment right from the start.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and support a team of support workers with daily tasks and personal care routines
• Contribute to person-centred care plans, promoting independence and dignity
• Conduct supervisions, appraisals, and mentor team members in positive behaviour support (PBS) practices
• Role model high-quality care delivery that reduces behaviours of concern and enhances wellbeing
About the Provider:
This new learning disability care home will offer peaceful, therapeutic support for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs, using a Positive Behaviour Support model. The goal is to empower individuals to live fulfilling lives in an adaptive and respectful setting.
What We’re Looking For:
• Previous experience in a senior care or team leader role
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• A caring, empathetic, and person-centred approach
• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or currently working towards it)
• A full UK driving licence is preferred but not essential
