Summary
Home Office Digital, Data and Technology designs, builds and develops services for the rest of the department and for government. Every year our systems support up to 3 million visa applications, checks on 100 million border crossings, up to 8 million passport applications and deliver 140 million police checks on people, vehicles and property.
The Home Office Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) Directorate has a headcount of over 4,500 individuals who are based throughout the UK. The Delivery Centre Management team, within the Chief Operating Office function, and are responsible for delivering the DDaT Estates strategy, Fire Safety, Health and Safety, third-party Security Clearance processes, and Business Continuity planning across the directorate, to best support DDaT’s customers, and its staff.
The Senior Delivery Centre Manager role is a key role within Enterprise Services Operations Team. It is a local role, and you will work with teams across DDaT to ensure the DDaT Estates strategy is implemented successfully and that the overall estates needs of DDaT teams are gathered, understood, and satisfied consistently.
You will manage small-scale projects across the site, related primarily to building infrastructure, as well as defined initiatives as part of the wider implementation plans for the Estates strategy. You will be able to draft accurate delivery plans for your projects and provide assurance to the business regarding risks and impact to critical national infrastructure. You will also have excellent stakeholder management skills, and will liaise directly with senior members of staff, building users, 3rd party tenants, Home Office Property Group, and other teams across the department, building strong relationships and ensuring their requirements are fully understood.

Delivery Centre Management roles within DDaT are most closely aligned to the Project Delivery Profession, for Project Delivery Professionals within Government.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Campus Lead to implement the local (Hendon) Estates strategy and day-to-day running of the site, including managing team moves, gathering estates requirements, facilities management, communications and acting as a first point of contact for delivery purposes.
- Building strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders such as the landlord, Home Office (HO) tenants, building suppliers, HO Security.
- Gathering and documenting requirements from internal teams and managing implementation by HO Property Group, ensuring delivery against annual maintenance schedules and business as usual activities.
- Ensuring the building is compliant for Health and Safety and Fire Safety. Acting as the first point of contact for all escalations about Fire Safety Management, Health and Safety. Engaging with the central Home Office team for resolution and escalation.
- Ensuring appropriate measures are in place to review, authorise and record physical security access rights in the building.
- Supporting the evaluation of activities, acting on lessons learnt and leading on work packages for team improvement.
- Working with the Hendon Evolution Programme to support the strategy to exit the building.
- Participating at internal and external stakeholder meetings, e.g. Building User Groups, to deliver and improve Employee Engagement as directed by the HO Campus Leader Strategy Group.
Working Pattern:
Due to the business requirements of this role, it is only available on a full-time basis.
