Location: Stiperstones (10 miles from Shrewsbury Town Centre)
Hours: Full-time

Minsterley Motors are seeking a dedicated and skilled PSV Mechanic/Fitter to join our engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual with proven experience in bus and coach maintenance who can work both independently and as part of a team.
About the Role
As a PSV Mechanic/Fitter, you will play a key role in maintaining our fleet of vehicles to the highest standards. Your responsibilities will include inspections, repairs, servicing, and diagnostics to ensure vehicle safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent mechanical skills and a proactive, can-do attitude.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on PSV vehicles.
Diagnose and rectify mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults.
Undertake pre-MOT preparation and inspections.
Fabricate basic components using a range of materials.
Work both on-site and off-site when required.
Liaise effectively with suppliers and team members.
Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety standards.
Maintain accurate and clear documentation.
What We’re Looking For
A relevant mechanical qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Vehicle Maintenance).
Proven experience in the PSV/HGV maintenance industry.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritise tasks and adapt to changing workloads.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including early/late shifts, weekends, and bank holidays.
A full UK driving licence is essential.
A PSV licence is preferred but training can be provided for the right candidate.
