Summary
Management Accounts Day to day maintenance of finance system verifying accuracy of coding and project costing Verifying accuracy and posting journals as required Calculation and posting of Income and Expenditure accruals and prepayments Preparation of quarterly Balance Sheet Reconciliations and P & L analysis Preparation of Income reconciliation and analysis Revenue Recognition in line with recognised accounting standards Assist in preparation of quarterly management accounts Budget and Forecast Process Providing support to the accountants in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts Procurement Working with business managers to identify and explore sustainable cost savings for all business areas. Periodic review of business suppliers and recommendation for alternative or renewal of contract for supply NHS Pension Accurately account for and reconcile NHS pension contributions for all business schemes. Property Costs Verify costs and reimbursements in line with contractual agreements for all business properties Financial Modelling Prepare reports to accurately assess financial performance of partly completed projects Other Provide support, training and mentorship to finance assistants as required. Support financial transactional processes in the absence of finance assistants Provide support in development, documentation and implementation of robust financial processes and policies This is not an exhaustive list; this role will develop as the business grows Training & Development Fully participates in training and development, meeting any, and all, requirements of any courses funded, or part-funded by the Alliance; Engages in a programme of ongoing support and feedback to maximise the benefit of the training and development plan; Confidentiality In the performance of the duties outlined in this job description, the post-holder may have access to confidential information relating to patients and their carers, Practice staff and other healthcare workers.
