Duties and responsibilities Work collaboratively with health and therapy services in facilitating high professional standards of Physiotherapy at the InFocus Charity. Take professional lead for Physiotherapy provision for students and young people throughout our college an adult service. Deliver Physiotherapy throughout the extended curriculum. As part of the multidisciplinary team provide leadership, management, development and support to Enablers in Therapy, Nurse Team, Care and Education. Maintain and develop standards of Physiotherapy service at InFocus. Represent the therapy team in multi-disciplinary meetings. Lead and attend meetings as required both on and off site. Complete assessment for prospective students and young people prior to commencement at InFocus Charity or as part of the transition process. Review these assessments as circumstances change. Take responsibility for the delivery, monitoring, implementation and evaluation of a high standard of Physiotherapy which promotes the independence, physical wellbeing, health and care of students and young people. Take on additional duties which could be off campus as a part of new initiatives of InFocus Charity. Ensure all students and young people have high quality programmes of Physiotherapy which are shared with parents and all supporting workers at the InFocus Charity within a holistic framework. Provide high quality training and assessment for staff to ensure Physiotherapy is an integral part of the young persons day. Have current HCPC and Chartered Society of Physiotherapy registration and comply with CPD requirements using guidance from both. Quality assure Physiotherapy provision and contribute to the Learner Service Improvement Plan to raise standards of Physiotherapy. Maintain records in accordance with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and InFocus Charity. Contribute to care planning, risk assessment and goal setting for each young person as well as annual report writing for EHCP meetings. Complete regular analysis and audit of Physiotherapy provision for development of the service. Ensuring specialist equipment is used safely and withdrawn from use if unsafe or inappropriate for the young person. To liaise with external professionals relating to the needs of the young person. To support the day-to-day management of the work of the specialist Physiotherapy assistant.
