At Educato Limited, we are seeking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to support pupils with PMLD in a specialist educational school in Stockport. Key responsibilities
- Work closely with teachers and other professionals to deliver tailored educational and therapeutic support
- Support communication and sensory development using specialist equipment and strategies
- Build strong, espectful relationships with pupils and multidisicplinary staff
- Promote a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment at all times.
- Work 1:1 or in small groups to support learning and engagement
Ideal Candidates
- Patient, resillient and able to build positive relationships
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one)
- Confident in working with non-verbal students and using alternative communication methods
- Willing to undertake relevant training, including autism awareness and safeguarding children
- Experience working with children or vulnerable adults is desired
