Hours: Full-time, 8:30am - 4:00pm
Start Date: September 2025 (Interviews and Trial Days Taking Place ASAP)
Contract Type: Long-term with potential to become permanent

We're working in partnership with a well-respected independent SEN school in Newark, Nottinghamshire. This nurturing and inclusive school supports students aged 5-19 with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and associated needs.
Trial days and interviews are being arranged immediately, so early applications are encouraged.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you'll be supporting students both 1:1 and in small groups. You will work closely with teaching staff to help pupils access learning, develop independence, and engage positively with school life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with ASD and other related needs
- Assist in delivering engaging, structured lessons and activities
- Promote emotional wellbeing and support social interaction
- Help students manage behaviours using a calm, consistent approach
- Encourage independence through life skills and routines
- Contribute to tracking progress and maintaining detailed records
Who We're Looking For:
- Experience supporting children or young people with special educational needs (SEN) is essential
- A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to working with diverse needs
- Confidence in managing behaviour positively and consistently
- Team player who thrives in a supportive and collaborative environment
