Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced CAD Engineer to join our team, specializing in ductwork projects. The ideal candidate will have solid AutoCAD experience and a deep understanding of the HVAC/ductwork industry. This is a dynamic role involving both office-based design work and occasional site visits for surveys and project coordination.
Key Responsibilities
· Conduct site surveys to gather necessary measurements and information
· Create detailed manufacturing and installation drawings using AutoCAD
· Manage the day-to-day running of multiple projects from start to finish
· Liaise with suppliers to place material orders and ensure timely deliveries
· Communicate effectively with site staff and project managers to ensure smooth execution
· Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors as needed
Requirements
· Proven experience in the ductwork or HVAC industry
· Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (essential)
· Excellent communication and organizational skills
· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
· A hands-on approach with strong attention to detail
· Flexibility to visit sites as required (though predominantly office-based)
· Industry knowledge is more important than formal qualifications
