We are looking to recruit a Driving Instructor to deliver Service Driver Conversion – familiarisation training on military vehicles.
As a Driving Instructor you will be required to deliver the full range of practical (on and off road), theoretical and synthetic education and training, including documentation, Military transport management and maintenance in accordance with DST’s priorities and the requirement for the Statement of Training Task (SOTT).
You will exercise duty of care to all trainees, ensuring any issues or areas of concern with trainees or personnel are reported appropriately.
You will comply with all risk assessments and conduct continual dynamic risk assessments during training to ensure risks are mitigated As Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP). Amend, develop and produce course instructional materials, training aids and course documentation, ensuring the media used is relevant, engaging and up to date.
You will be responsible for reporting vehicle defects and any accidents occurring during training, for the care and maintenance of training equipment allocated to you and be part of our safety culture.
You will ensure student record cards are kept up to date, highlighting training deficiencies and shortfalls.
There may be the opportunity to work overtime should you wish to volunteer.
