We are in full control of our service levels; we operate our own transport fleet and own one of the UK’s largest range of temporary works, lifting and safety equipment fleets.Our national network of operational depots are further supported by hubs providing extensive technical, innovative and logistical support. As demands on our customer grow and change, we are focused on remaining aligned with these and achieving a sustainable approach as we continue to grow. For this reason we are now looking for a proven professional to fill this new role as Area Sales & Regional Account Manager to provide leadership in our Scottish business based out of Livingston.If you have a proven industry track record and are ready for a new challenge, then this opportunity is for you. The RoleMGF are recruiting this senior role to recruit an Area Sales & Regional Account Manager to oversee continued growth of our Scottish business.This role is for a proven professional with exceptional construction sector and commercial knowledge and ability. They will have a proven track record of business-to-business success and able to demonstrate a contemporary leadership style with particular focus on continued professional development, succession planning and empowerment of their teams.This role will require a visionary approach to ensure our customer’s needs are continuously evaluated, understood and filtered into our approach top customer facing activities.You will be responsible for working collaboratively with our core sales, engineering, account management and marketing teams assisting in the development and implementation of the sales and marketing plans ensuring a fully integrated and collaborative ethos that achieves maximum customer value.This role will require an experience professional to oversee the day-to-day management of the regionally based sales team and work closely with other parts of the business to maximise return on all sales enquiries. Responsibilities: Day to dayMonitor the TSR’s appointments, diaries, schedules, and time by effective planning of call, travel and meetingsUnderstand customer’s requirements, providing technical assistance and ensuring delivery of optimum solutionsEnsure ongoing excellent management of the customers and their expectations.Ensure quality eDRF’s are submitted to the design team.Ensure all information passed to the operations team is clear and concise enabling best responses.Undertake regular live hire report reviews and liaise with the operations team on any anomalies and where necessary liaise with the customer to close out potential issues before invoicing.Actively support the resolution of damagesProvide the necessary after sales activity to ensure all contracts are concluded successfullyEnsure all Glenigan leads, and other sources are suitably qualified by all TSR’s and sales support.Ensure Sales Support provide consistent lead generation and optimise support to the TSR’sEnsure all opportunities are pursued in a timely manner by TSR’sEnsure area coverage is maintained during periods of annual leave by the TSR’s.Undertake supplementary site visits when TSR’s are busy.Work closely with the Regional Engineer (RE) to ensure appropriate projects are supportedTeam & Performance ManagementProvide day to day management to the Technical Sales Representatives (TSR’s) with a positive attitudeEnsure all inductions into the business are undertaken in a comprehensive mannerWork with the Senior Management (SM) to ensure any recruitment activity is proactively pursuedUndertake monthly one to one’s reviews with the TSR’sWork closely with the SM to agree & deliver short-term targetsEnsure training requirements are planned, completed, and coordinatedFeedback to the SM on area performances enabling insightful & progressive discussionsProvide recovery plans for areas where revenue is behind budgetEnsure all TSR’s & sale support holiday allocations are coordinatedParticipate in interviews for new TSR’s or sales support.Escalate any issues to SM you feel are impacting the day-to-day performance of the TSR’s.Discuss any exceptional performance issues of TSR’s with your line manager.Work closely with the SM to complete annual appraisals in line with HR directive.Skills & Knowledge Requirements (Essential)Utilities infrastructure construction experienceCompetent to support front-line operational staffWorking knowledge of relevant legislation, codes of practice, safety and statutory regulationsLogical and organisedCapable of producing and signing of programme of worksExcellent time management Benefits:With a sense of family at the core of our company culture, MGF is a well-established business and as we continue to grow, we are looking for talented individuals to join our team.
