Job Title: Electrician Mate

Reports To: Qualified Electrician / Site Supervisor
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Electrician Mate to assist qualified electricians with installation and replacement of new LED lighting on a commercial site. The successful candidate will support all aspects of electrical work, ensuring safety and efficiency on the job.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist electricians with the installation of electrical systems and components.
• Pull cables, drill holes, and mount electrical fixtures such as sockets, switches, and lights.
• Carry and manage tools, equipment, and materials.
• Help test electrical systems and identify faults.
• Maintain clean and safe work environments.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and site rules.
• Read and interpret technical drawings under supervision.
• Carry out general laboring duties when required.
Requirements:
Essential:
• Some prior experience in electrical or construction work.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and safety procedures.
• Willingness to learn and take instruction from qualified electricians.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual labor tasks.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Punctual, reliable, and safety-conscious.
Desirable:
• ECS card is required
• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Electrical Installation
• Driving license.
Working Conditions:
• Work may involve indoor and outdoor settings, including construction sites.
• Working hours are 10 - 12 hours, Monday - Friday (possible early finish on the Friday)
• PPE must be worn at all times
• Own tools
