Summary

Key Responsibilities:
• Family Support:
• Act as the primary point of contact for families, providing support and guidance.
• Facilitate effective communication between the school and families.
• Organise and lead family engagement activities and workshops.
• Multi-agency Coordination:
• Collaborate with external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for pupils.
• Coordinate multi-agency meetings and follow up on action points.
• Maintain accurate records of multi-agency interactions and interventions.
• Safeguarding:
• Ensure all safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to.
• Conduct safeguarding training and awareness sessions for staff and families.
• Manage safeguarding concerns and liaise with relevant authorities as necessary.
• Administrative Duties:
• Maintain detailed records of family and multi-agency interactions.
• Prepare reports and documentation for senior leadership and external agencies.
• Assist in the development and implementation of school policies related to family and multi-agency engagement.
Person Specification:
• Qualifications:
• Relevant qualifications in education, social work, or a related field.
• Safeguarding training and certification.
• Experience:
• Experience working with children with SLD and PMLD.
• Proven track record in family support and multi-agency coordination.
• Experience in a school or educational setting is desirable.
• Skills and Attributes:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
• Empathetic, caring, and professional approach.

Job Purpose:
To support and coordinate the engagement of families and multi-agency partners in the educational and welfare needs of pupils with severe learning needs (SLD) and profound and multiple learning needs (PMLD) from EYFS to Year 10.
