Summary
Title: CMM Programmer / Quality Engineer CMM Programmer - Permanent Role
Location: Brownhills
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (DOE)
Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:00am - 4:00pm, Friday 7:00am - 1:00pm (40 hours/week)
A market-leading engineering business in the Brownhills area that is looking to add an experienced Quality Inspector / CMM Programmer to their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established company offering long-term stability, a supportive environment, and the chance to work on high-quality precision components.
Key Responsibilities:
Programming and operating Hexagon CMMs using PC-DMIS, ideally from CAD models
Performing detailed inspections and measurements using CMM equipment
Writing and modifying CMM programs to support production and NPI
Supporting PPAP and NPI processes
Analysing inspection data and producing quality reports
Managing calibration of measuring equipment
Investigating and resolving internal, supplier, and customer non-conformances
What Were Looking For:
Proven experience in a Quality Inspector or CMM Programmer role within a manufacturing or engineering environment
Strong working knowledge of PC-DMIS and GD&T
Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
Experience with initial sample inspection and PPAP documentation
Familiarity with ISO/TS 16949 or IATF 16949 standards is advantageous
A proactive, detail-oriented approach with excellent problem-solving skills
