Salary Range: SCP23 SCP25 (£33,366.00 - £35,235.00 FTE) [pro rata £19,918.15- £21,033.87]

Salary amounts quoted are from the 1 September to 31 August and therefore if you commence employment part way through the academic year they are subject to an equated salary adjustment

Please note: the post holder will be engaging in regulated activity, working mainly or wholly with children. This position is exempt from the rehabilitation of offender’s act 1974. It is an offence to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.

Hazlehurst Academy is seeking to appoint a dedicated Attendance and Welfare Officer to help ensure our pupils’ well-being and good attendance are at the heart of their learning journey.

JOB PURPOSE

  • To support the development of safeguarding and child protection policies, training and procedures and guidance for the academy
  • To lead on the coordination of referrals, arranging action and reviewing service for children and families
  • To lead on the implementation of the behaviour policy and its administration
  • To provide administrative support to promote academy attendance strategies
  • To be the nominated designated safeguarding lead in the academy
