About us: Dinas Powys Primary School is a large, split site primary school near Cardiff. The school consists of the infant site housed in an Edwardian building catering for pupils from three to seven years old and a 1960s junior building for pupils aged eight to eleven. Hours of Work / Weeks per year / Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, 40 weeks per year
Main Place of Work: Dinas Powys Primary School Infant Site
Start Date: September 2025
Temporary Reason: Temporary for two years pending the return of the substantive post holder from secondment.Description: We are looking for a friendly, well-organised and proactive person to join our school team as a School Administrator predominantly based at the infant site. In the first instance this is a temporary post for two years pending the substantive post holder’s return. No previous school based experience is required and the role would be ideal for someone looking to develop their skills and gain valuable experience in school administration.
The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, enjoy working in a busy school environment and be able to use their initiative while handling a variety of tasks. Working closely with the school’s principal administrative officer and senior leadership team, you will provide confidential and efficient administrative support to the school. You will be the main point of contact for parents and visitors to the infant site. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a supportive and welcoming school community, where your contribution will make a real difference to the education of children.
