Job Description

Based at Angus House, Orchardbank Business Park, Forfar.

This job is Workstyle 5 – Hybrid+

You will have the opportunity to benefit from our flexible and agile working practices. This means you will work from home for part of your week and spend some time in council buildings to best suit your work, meetings and collaboration.

We are looking to recruit a dynamic and self-motivated individual as the PACE Coordinator for Economic Development. This role will sit within the Skills and Employability team taking a lead role for PACE in Angus.

The successful candidate will work closely with the local and regional teams creating an Angus PACE support offer across the Local Authority footprint. You will work closely with businesses looking to recruit, attend and be part of the arranging of local partnership events, whilst also delivering employability and vocational programmes for Angus residents affected by redundancy.

This role will also support people within our communities who are currently facing redundancy, are in redundancy notice periods or who have been made redundant to move into positive destinations. By doing this you will be helping to create a more coherent and consistent ‘Angus employability service’.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

• Contributing to the delivery of the Council Plan and Economic Development priorities.
• Developing and maintaining close working relationships with relevant PACE partners, the public, private and third sector networks and LEP partners locally and regionally.
• Contributing to regular performance reporting as required.
• Co-ordinating and develop individual learning plans that will provide intensive person-centred bespoke support to assist participants and transition to sustained training or employment. Carry out initial and ongoing assessments accessing the most appropriate services as part of their return-to-work plan.
• Identify appropriate funding opportunities for project delivery, assist with bids and contribute to the development and implementation of projects aligned with the economic priorities of the service.
• Provide a job brokerage and an aftercare service for participants who move into employment by giving support and guidance as required to ensure sustainable employment.

Any interested candidates are welcome to have an informal non-committal discussion about the role with Fiona Reynolds, Skills and Employability Officer on 07584 210085 or email ReynoldsF@angus.gov.uk.

This job is temporary for up to 12 months from date of appointment.

Internal and external applications on a secondment basis will be considered. You must have the approval of your line manager / organisation.

Please note interviews will be held Thursday, 17 July 2025.
