Engraving & Sign Making Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
• Ability to read works orders/understand verbal briefs to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Build extensive knowledge of materials
• Maintaining tools
• Learning to use a variety of engraving machinery; manual, computer and laser
• Learning various methods of engraving and paint filling
• Working with a circular saw and guillotine (only when fully trained)
• Making signs from wood, plastic and metals
• Maintaining a clean and safe working area
Essential Requirements:
• Good level of Maths & English
• Practical, hands-on approach to work
• Ability to understand measurements
• Excellent attention to detail
Personality Profile:
• Good time keeping and working attitude
• Use initiative & self-motivated
• Comfortable working both individually and as part of a team
