Summary
Working in the community with housebound patients under the direction of a qualified nurse. To collect venous/capillary blood samples without harm to patient or self by following the phlebotomy standard operating procedures. To obtain such blood samples to a standard fit for laboratory testing ensuring collection, maintaining appropriate files & records as required. To ensure that all phlebotomy equipment and accommodation is properly maintained and suitable for use. To competently complete Frailty assessment visits. To competently complete Long Term Condition reviews. Undertake ECGs Dopplers Wheelchair assessments Pain assessment forms Basic observations Measurement for stockings Inhaler technique Collection of prescriptions
