Interested in a career in CAMHS? We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Registered Mental Health Nurse to join Hounslow CAMHS.
The successful applicant will join the will join theHounslow CAMHS Neuro-developmental Teamwhich is based atHeart of Hounslow Centre for Health, 92 Bath Rd, Hounslow, TW3 3EL.
TheHounslow Neuro-developmental Teamis part of the Tier 3 Hounslow CAMH Service, which also includes an adolescent team, child and family team and Learning Disability Team. The Service also links to a comprehensive Tier 2 CAMH Service,CAMHS Crisis Prevention/Care Team (ALLIANCE) and a CAMHS Eating Disorder Service. TheNeuro-developmental Teamis multi-disciplinary, including psychiatry, nursing, family therapy psychology, psychotherapy and social work. The post holder will be part of a growing team of clinicians with a special interest and expertise in working with children, and young people, who are presenting with complex mental health needs.
The CAMH Nurse will also join a thriving team of supportive, committed and skilled nurses who are dedicated to changing the future outcomes for children and young people who present to mental health services.

The CAMH Nursewill join the multidisciplinary team in the delivery of clinical assessment and provision of therapy to young people (0-18) and their families and/or carers referred to the team.With supervision and support theCAMHNursewill provide assessment and intervention, which will include individual and psycho education groups.
As a CAMH Nurse youwill have the opportunity to contribute to service development, audit, research and quality improvement projects and you will alsosupport student nurses on specialist placement in CAMHS.

West London CAMHS is committed to supporting the development and progression of its staff. In addition to receiving regular supervision, all staff have access to training and development opportunities in line with their agreed development needs. Staff are also encouraged to be involved in quality improvement projects, audit and research, as well as to take a lead for areas of special interest, such as safeguarding, transitions, SEND.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic West London CAMHS has had to develop new and innovative ways of working. Our staff are currently providing a combination of face to face clinical contact as well as clinical contact via virtual platforms, resulting in a combination of onsite and remote working. All staff are provided with a laptop and mobile phone to support this way of agile working.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Registered Mental Health Nurse with demonstrable post registration experience working in child and adolescent in-patient and/or community services or adult community services and who has an interest in developing their skills in working with young people, their families/carers and networks who are presenting complex mental health needs.
The CAMH Nurse will need to demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of mental health presentations in children, evidence on-going professional development and show an ability to work autonomously, as well as part of a team.
