Bangor University invites applications for two full-time Lecturers in Anatomy to join the North Wales Medical School (NWMS). With our first cohort of medical students having started in September 2024, this is a unique opportunity to contribute to an exciting phase of growth in a new medical school. You will play a key role in shaping innovative, digitally enabled anatomy education and join a small anatomy team within the supportive wider school that is committed to delivering an outstanding student experience.

The successful candidates will be educated to PhD level or equivalent in a relevant subject area (or be close to completion), and passionate about undergraduate and/or postgraduate teaching. You will be expected to develop and deliver dynamic teaching, including the use of the digital Anatomage Table, support research projects, and engage in pastoral care and academic administration. You will teach across the medical programme and contribute to other School programmes including Physician Associate, Medical Sciences, Pharmacy and Pharmacology.

We are seeking individuals who are passionate about education, innovative in teaching delivery, and eager to support the development of our School. The role also offers the opportunity to pursue an educational qualification and Advance HE fellowship.

The postholders will work under the Anatomy lead and be responsible to the Dean of Medicine and will be based at our main campus in Bangor with occasional travel to our clinical training sites and Wrexham campus if required. Through our Dynamic Working framework, there will also be the option to spend some time working remotely (although remaining in the UK) to support work life balance. *Fractional part-time appointments and Job Sharing arrangements will be considered, and this will be discussed with candidates at interview.

The successful candidate will be expected to commence by the start of 2025/26 Academic year.

The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this post.
