Summary
Seasonal Country Park Warden
Contract: Seasonal (including weekends and bank holidays)
We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Seasonal Park Warden to join our team at Coate Water Country Park. This hands-on role involves maintaining and operating the park’s seasonal attractions, supporting the enjoyment and safety of all park visitors.
Key Responsibilities Core Duties:Pitch & Putt and Crazy Golf Operations

Operate the Pitch & Putt kiosk: sell tickets, process card payments, issue equipment, and restock cold drinks and ice creams.

Maintain the Pitch & Putt and Crazy Golf courses: set up and close down, operate sprinklers, mow lawns (ride-on and push mowers), and manage vegetation.
Splash Park Management

Conduct regular water quality checks and routine cleaning of the splash pad and surrounding areas.

Ensure safe operation of the splash park: enforce rules, monitor visitor capacity, engage with the public, and carry out bin and toilet maintenance.
Secondary Duties (after core duties are fulfilled):-
Support wider country park operations, including:

Cleaning of BBQ areas and public toilets

Litter picking and emptying bins

Carrying out safety checks (e.g., play park and dams)

Vegetation management (mowing, strimming, weeding)

Engaging with visitors, contractors, and event organisers
Person Specification-
Strong timekeeping and organisational skills
-
Self-motivated and able to work independently
-
Confident using card payment systems and handling money

Excellent communication and public engagement skills
-
Experience in grounds maintenance or similar role is desirable
Additional Information-
This role includes weekend and bank holiday working

Bank holidays will be compensated with a day in lieu

A full UK driving licence and DBS certificate are desirable but not essential
