Summary

We are seeking an individual to join our in-house Caretaking Team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a dedicated team that plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of our council’s housing stock.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work as part of a small team to clean internal and external communal areas across council-managed housing.

  
  

• Carry out a range of caretaking duties, including:

  • Sweeping, mopping, and dusting communal areas

    
    

  • Litter picking in and around estates

    
    

  • Removing bulk waste and refuse

    
    

  • Sweeping car parks, service roads, and bin areas

    
    
    

  • Report any repairs, safety hazards, or incidents to the appropriate team.

    
    

  • Ensure all tasks are carried out in line with health and safety, fire safety, and building safety regulations.

    
    Requirements:

    • Experience in caretaking and/or professional cleaning is desirable.

      
      

    • A full, clean UK Manual Driving Licence is essential.

      
      

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

      
      

    • Good awareness and understanding of health and safety in a caretaking environment.

      
      

    • Reliable, punctual, and committed to providing a high standard of service.
